Diamond Merchant Savji Dholakia Buys Rs 185 Crore Building

Surat’s very big diamond merchant Savjibhai Dholakia and his family recently bought a residential property Worli Sea Face in Mumbai worth Rs 185 crore. Maharashtra.

Dholkiaji’s Hare Krishna (HK) Exports bought the Panhar Bungalow, a six-storey property previously owned by the Essar Group.

Panhar Bungalow has a land of 20,000 square feet which is registered by Savji Dholakia in the name of his younger brother Ghanshyam Dholakia and that Panhar Bungalow has about as many apartments as 15.

“We were looking for some property to accommodate our staff and family members. We bought it from Essar and it is at a location from where our work and offices can be conveniently reached.” Dholakia told TOI. 

The family of Savjibhai Dholakia is a native of Dudhala in the Amreli district. 

The annual turnover of Hare Krishna Exports from diamond exports and jewellery manufacturing is Rs 7,000 crore. Initially, they had set up a diamond polishing unit in the city before expanding its operations to Mumbai and the across the globe over the last 30 years.

“Our manufacturing unit is located in Santacruz Electronic Export Processing Zone (SEEPZ) SEZ and office at Bandra Kurla Complex. We already have a couple of residential properties in Mumbai. But this property will accommodate more employees and family members.” added Dholakia.

Dholakia’s grabbed the limelight for gifting cars and houses as a Diwali bonus to his best-performing employees over the years. Dholakia has also developed water sports activities in his native village in Amreli. Some Value added from Times of India
